Ice fishing can get cold - well, really, you are fishing on ice. Whether you are in a hut or out in the open like these two fools you are very likely to get a bit chilly. Put on all the warm clothing that you can and you still have your feet sitting on cold snow and ice. That cold will work its way into the bones of your feet. Now, I don't know about you but when I'm doing something that I like I much prefer to keep doing it for a while.
Take a couple of our medium sized heat packs with you for the day. One pack will give heat for 30-45 minutes and will, if place at the right place on your body, warm the body for a while. It will also depend whether you are outside or not. You will definitely cool down faster outside that in a fishing shack.
If you place one of the hot packs over your kidney area or your lower back your whole body will warm up and stay that way for a while. So, wait until you need it then activate. Keep the second hot pack for the last part of your stay.
When you get home put them into boiling water immediately per the instructions and they will be ready by the next time you need them.
Enjoy.
